About This Spot

Wong Kwong Hop is one of those quietly steadfast neighborhood spots where the pace slows just enough to savor simple pleasures. Tucked into Elmhurst’s lively Grand Avenue corridor, this unassuming tofu shop hums with the steady rhythm of a community coming together over familiar flavors. There’s a subtle warmth in the air here that feels genuine—neither rushed nor fussy—inviting you to settle in and enjoy the uncomplicated comfort of freshness made daily.

Stepping inside, you sense the passage of time marked not by flashy décor but by the consistent care in every batch. The mingling aromas of freshly steamed rice rolls and the faint, soothing hint of warm soy milk create a quiet yet inviting symphony. This isn’t a place for grand displays, but rather for those moments when a thoughtfully prepared tofu pudding or a steaming bowl of cheung fun can feel like a quiet gift amid life’s bustle.

Over the years, Wong Kwong Hop has quietly become a haven for those who appreciate the gentle art of well-made tofu and soy-based delights. Regulars gravitate here for the subtle balance of flavors—never overwhelming, but always grounded in tradition and the unmistakable signature of something made fresh each day. They have the best soy bean milk around, and us much cheaper than grocery stores. The soy flavor is super strong and is made fresh everyday. The fried tofu and soy bean tofu are also really good.

Got a soy drink $2 and a small tofu pudding $2.50. Everything tasted fresh. Overall a 8/10

I saw somebody mentionned this on IG and decided to give it a try. My first time visiting, the place was crowded. There was a line. I ordered rice roll with egg. They are somewhat chewy. Better than other street vendors, can't compare to with dim sum restaurant. Small size of soy milk was good. Not too sweet. Tofu ho is not too sweet. Overall the flavor is on the blended size but the food itself is good.

The steamed rice rolls at Wong Kwong Hop are BACK starting this weekend 9/28/24! (They had a labor shortage these past few years). This is where you get the best steamed rice rolls in Elmhurst, Queens. These fresh cheung fun are currently available only on the weekends. They’re steamy, pillowy, and piping hot - all starting at just $3. Definitely recommend adding an egg in for an extra 50 cents. For the sauces, we get them all - hot sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and peanut sauce. Come earlier in the day, before 2/3pm, I’d say, before they run out for the day. Don’t forget to bring cash to pay! While you’re here, this spot also makes fresh soy milk and tofu in-house daily. Love their springy, cold, and refreshing grass jelly as well. This is a true tofu factory where you can just walk in and get fresh tofu, directly from the source. They distribute tofu to many businesses throughout Elmhurst, Flushing, and Chinatown. Pricing as of Sept 2024: $2 tofu pudding/bean curd dessert $2.75 grass jelly $1.75 soy milk $3 beef rice rolls $3 pork rice rolls + $0.50 egg

Great soy and rice noodle products at reasonable prices. They have fresh rice rolls with toppings on the weekend. Their grass jelly and tofu fa are great too! Cash only.

Workers, Please don’t smoke inside the shop where all the food is being processed. It’s unsanitary and would you like it if someone smokes and then there’s a chance that ash from the cigarette can land on the food? Not cool right. Despite all that , overall great rice noodles.
